Sometimes you have to wonder

July 20th, 2009

Last night, I was searching high and low in my apartment for a book. (The final Harry Potter book, if you must know.) I know I have it, but for some reason it is totally MIA at the moment. Anyway, I was scouring the apartment for it.

While I was looking I found an outfit LC has gotten me, jewelry he’s given me, and a picture of us doing something fun together. I saw the flattened wine bottle he got for me nailed up on my wall, and I ran across things I bought so that we could do more things together, like hiking shoes and snow pants. Then I found the only thing Big ever gave to me…. a vibrator.

If that doesn’t sum it all up, I don’t know what does. Sometimes I have to wonder what I was thinking.

After looking back, we all are like “What the hell was I thinking?” a time or two.

Sometimes it’s a little more obvious than others.

Really good chemistry can take over for thinking. If a woman is still single and in her 30s, I’m guessing she’s slipped into at least one pair of “bad idea jeans,” so to speak.

I think those jeans gave me camel toe. Good thing I threw them out.

    Hindsight is always 20/20.

    Ain’t that the truth?

    Haha. This made me chuckle.

Sometimes you really do just have to laugh!

This brought such a smile to my face. I have a similar story, except I decided that I could not have that “gift/toy” in my home and so I mailed it back to the giver.

Petty, perhaps, but it made me feel better:-)

Eh, I’d consider mailing it back except I never knew his address. No big deal though, we never really used it together so it’s more mine than ours.

*Laugh* Ahh Jane, what a perfect analogy!

Sums it all up, doesn’t it?

Mistakes are the greatest learning tools ever invented. You’ve gotta love those epiphany moments.

I wish mine could come a little sooner. I’d still have made the mistake but maybe it wouldn’t have had to be quite so dramatic!
