My friends are having birthday party starting at Looneys at 7 p.m. on Saturday. The night should wrap up with Karaoke at Walt’s Inn.;) They are a CRAZY bunch.

All I’m sayin’ is that last time I went to Looney’s, a bar fight nearly plowed into me.

Listen lady, a job does come first SOMETIMES, I agree. But my theory is that if someone wants to see you, they should make the best effort to make YOU a priority. You deserve that and you shouldn’t sell yourself short.

This weekend…you, me, my drunk friends? yes?

I just don’t think making a virtual stranger a priority over your job is a realistic expectation for anyone.

Now, this weekend? Just not Friday night. Otherwise, hell yes!

I just do not understand the fact that if your job keeps you very busy, all hours of the day, then why try to meet others and possibly risk a connection and then have no time for them? A dinner, a drink, a couple hours here and there is not too much… I completely understand the disconnect starting… dating!@#$%

Sometimes people want what in the end they just can’t have? Who knows.

I’ve met a few of these women over the years. IF in a few weeks they don’t pencil me in somewhere it ends. In my book if its important you make time just like you do in any point of the relationship. Most time I find out there is something else causing the unavailability.

I’m just going to ride it out and see. I have nothing invested so it’s no big deal.

That really sucks and I can totally relate because I’m not in a similiar situation. I had a coffee date with a guy I was interested in recently and we haven’t been able to get back together because he’s taken a job that requires him to work nights. I hear from him frequently so I know he’s interested but with his schedule I can’t ever see him and it really sucks because we had great chemistry.

Sometimes life just gets in the way.

Hmm, don’t know what to say in this comment. From experience, married 22 years, men CAN always find time to do the things they want to do. My hubs definition of a 1/2 day of work is to leave around 3pm, however when there is a “Business Man’s Special” for the Phillies, it’s amazing he can get out of there at 11 !!

While I appreciate the comment, I still believe this theory is wrong. Sometimes making time for more than a phone call may truly be impossible. You’re going to have to trust me when I say he’s not bullshitting. A little trust here is not misguided.

It’s nice that he keeps calling to let you know just how busy he is, and not just blowing you off. It shows his interest. However, not being able to see him would bring out my disinterest as well. Of course, who am I to talk? I like a man that lives 2 thousand miles away. *snort*

And yet you’ve spent more time with him than I have with PP! That’s all I’m sayin’.
