It's possible.... okay, I admit, unlikely (I only thought of that because of one REALLY big night when I "lost" my car keys....). But the overall impression I got from your post-date-post was that he was just sizing you up without going full tilt because he was probably a bit self-conscious... You manage to be quite honest and funny without things devolving into a jaded, mean-spirited rant. From a single male's perspective, this is pretty much a goldmine of useful information. It sounds like AGG was intimidated and/or unsure of your receptiveness to him. I'm thinking that by leaving the middle arm rest up he was saying, "Ok, the ball is in your court now" and he was waiting to see if you would move close to him. Perhaps by the end of the night he decided he didn't like you; or even more likely, that you didn't like him? Too bad about your un-dates with "The Friend". I know he's sending mixed messages but at the end of the day that simply translates to: "I like you enough to hang out with you when I want you to make me feel good, but not enough to actually be with you."
